Meet Chike
A lawyer of over 30 years’ experience, Chike Ekwueme obtained an LL.B from the University of Benin, and a B.L. with 2nd Class Honours (Upper Division) from the Nigerian Law School. He is a Chartered Secretary, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Telecommunications Lawyers Association of Nigeria; he is also an Associate of the Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies (AES), an Associate of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN), and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSAN). He was appointed the first ever Legal Advisor to the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, Nigeria, in August 2021. He was reappointed in 2022.
‘Chike has written and published numerous articles on various areas of law and speaks at local and international fora. He serves on the faculty of Rome Business School Nigeria where he is a Lecturer in Business Law. Some courses he has attended locally and internationally include: Leading Professional Service Firms at Harvard Business School (Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.); Arbitration & ADR in Africa (Nairobi, Kenya); and Section on Business Law Conferences by the International Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association, amongst others. He sits on several boards of corporate and non-profit entities, including Himark Nigeria Limited, Valid Finance Company Limited (Nigeria), and ILA Foundation LBG (Ghana).
